THE POSITION

  • Tenure that speaks for itself. Most of our therapists have been with Beachside for 5 to 11 year
  • Pay that respects the work. $101,000 to $107,000 full-time. $67 per hour part-time.
  • $3,000 signing bonus. Paid after 90 days, for full-time therapists already credentialed on at least two insurance panels.
  • We handle the admin. Billing. Credentialing. EHR setup. Treatment plan support. Note coaching for insurance compliance.
  • Monthly peer supervision. Case conferences with the team via telehealth, plus a monthly company Zoom on the first Monday for connection and announcements.
  • Two full-time office staff. They answer client calls in real time and match each client to the therapist best suited to their issue. You are not your own front desk.
  • 98% client return rate. Per analytics from a major insurance company. The state average is closer to 50%.
  • You work in your specialty. We do not believe in one-therapist-fits-all. The therapeutic relationship cannot exist if you are stretched outside your area of expertise.
  • Preferred provider on most major insurance panels. For more than 16 years.

**Schedule: Demand for evening and weekend appointments has skyrocketed since clients returned to in-person work, especially for couples therapy. To meet that demand, we need full-time therapists who can work either two evenings per week, or one evening plus one weekend day. Part-time schedules can be discussed.

Thank you for visiting our job posting. I am Dr. Kerry O’Reilly, and I have been the CEO and Clinical Director for Beachside since I started this company in 2010. Since those early days, we have grown into a group of 16 therapists with two full-time office staff. I am proud to say that we have been a preferred group provider for most of the major insurances companies for more than 16 years.

I know this isn’t the usual way to post a position, but I think it’s important to share with you a little about our culture, our values, and what kind of environment you will be working in if you choose to work with us. But before I get to that, I need to say upfront that this is a hybrid position.

There are a lot of companies out there looking for therapists, but I believe what makes us different is that we believe in therapist care as much as client care. Most of our therapists have been with Beachside for anywhere from 5-11 years, and they stay on because, in addition to being a great place to work, we also offer connection and support to our therapist.

We are a Ventura and Los Angeles mainstay and have an excellent track record. In fact, we recently found out that analytics done on our company (by a major insurance company) showed that clients who come to Beachside return for a second visit 98% of the time, which is enormous! The state average is closer to 50 percent.

We believe our clients come back because our therapists work within their specialties to treat clients. None of this “one therapist fits all.” We believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship, and you, a therapist, can’t provide that if you are working with clients outside your comfort zone or area of expertise.
